My name is Valerie Quiroz, but I go by Val. I’m a freelance hairstylist based in Chicago. I’ve loved styling hair since I was a child, inspired by my aunt who was a hairdresser. It’s been a long journey to get here, but I’d do it again. 

I’ve been lucky to learn from top stylists like Renée Feldman, a well-known bridal expert in Chicago, and Alex Brown, a celebrity hairstylist. Their guidance shapes the work I do today.
